DRA Computed Overcharge Incorrectly

Tenant complained of a rent overcharge. The DRA ruled for tenant and landlord appealed. Landlord claimed that the DRA made an error in computing the overcharge by multiplying the monthly overcharge by too many months and that the order should be modified to reflect the correct amount of time. The DHCR ruled for landlord. The DRA computed a 24-month overcharge but there was only an 18-month overcharge. The decision was modified to reflect the reduced refund due tenant.
