Tenant Didn't Comply with Chronic Nonpayment Settlement Agreement
LVT Number: 18171
Landlord sued to evict tenant for chronic nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court. Landlord later sought eviction based on tenant's failure to make payments in accordance with the settlement agreement. Tenant asked the court to excuse her from the requirements of the agreement. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant repeatedly defaulted on the terms of settlement agreement by not paying the rent on time during the probation period agreed upon with landlord.
