Replacement of Interior Doors

Landlord considered replacing all of the interior doors within a building, including closet doors and bedroom doors. Landlord asked the DHCR whether this work would constitute an MCI. In an opinion letter, the DHCR said yes, provided that all interior doors in the building were replaced. This included all doors, including apartment entrance doors and interior doors in public areas. Landlord wouldn't need to replace the outer doors of the building for the work to qualify as an MCI.
