Refrigerator Temperature Settings Showed No Defect

Rent-stabilized tenant complained of a reduction in services, claiming that his refrigerator wasn’t working properly. The DRA ruled against tenant, finding nothing wrong with the refrigerator. Tenant appealed and lost. The DHCR’s inspector found that the refrigerator was new and was operating properly. The fresh food compartment registered at 34 degrees Fahrenheit, and the freezer compartments registered at 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
