No MCI Increase for Compactor Inspection
LVT Number: #26162
Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on a number of improvements. The DRA ruled for landlord in part and granted increases for replacement of a compactor, hopper door, hopper door tile walls, hopper door room tile wall, compactor room asbestos removal, and compactor room air monitoring. The DRA disallowed any rent increase for a compactor inspector. Landlord appealed and lost. The cost of the compactor inspection didn't qualify for an MCI rent hike. There was no proof submitted that the compactor inspection was required by law or regulations issued by any government agency.
