Cost of Sidewalk Bridging Included

LVT Number: 15293

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on pointing/waterproofing, steam cleaning, cornice work, and sidewalk bridging. The DRA ruled for landlord. Tenants appealed, claiming that the sidewalk bridging was unrelated to any MCI. The DHCR ruled against tenants. The sidewalk bridging was installed in connection with landlord's permitted pointing/waterproofing work. So landlord was entitled to an MCI increase for the cost of that part of the work.
