Cost of Sidewalk Bridge Included

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on the installation of parapets. The DRA ruled for landlord in part, denying any increase for the portion of the cost allocable to a sidewalk bridge put up during the installation. Landlord appealed, arguing that New York City law required landlord to install the sidewalk bridge while doing work over sidewalk traffic. The DHCR ruled for landlord. The sidewalk bridge was installed while the parapet work was being done and was required by law.
