Wrong Owner Cited in Snow Removal Violation

DOS issued a violation notice to landlord for not removing snow and ice from the sidewalk in front of the building. Landlord objected, claiming that he didn't own the building listed on the violation notice. The ALJ ruled against landlord and fined it $100. The ALJ found that landlord was the building owner according to the deed and DOB and DOF records. Landlord appealed and won. The ALJ's finding was incorrect. HPD's Web site lists "no buildings match" for the address listed on the violation. Landlord also provided HPD records showing that it owned another building at a different location. The fine was revoked.
