Tenant Violated Probationary Stipulation
LVT Number: #24821
Landlord sued to evict tenant for chronic nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court. Tenant was placed on probation and agreed to pay rent on time. Landlord sought eviction when tenant failed to comply with the agreement. Tenant asked the court to delay eviction and give him more time to comply. The court ruled against tenant, who appealed and lost. Tenant had an extensive history of rent defaults, which continued after he signed the settlement agreement. Further delay of the eviction was unwarranted.
