Tenant Removed Alterations
LVT Number: 14923
Landlord sued to evict tenant for making illegal alterations in the apartment. The court ruled for landlord but delayed eviction on the condition that tenant remove the alterations. Landlord claimed that tenant didn't do so and sought her eviction. The court ruled against landlord. Landlord appealed and lost. Landlord's termination notice stated that tenant had breached her lease by making alterations to her balcony and bedroom. Landlord now complained that tenant hadn't removed kitchen and bathroom fixtures she put in. But these items weren't listed in landlord's termination notice.
