Tenant Kept Loaded Gun in Apartment

LVT Number: #23701

Tenant appealed landlord NYCHA's decision to terminate his lease and proceed for eviction after police found a loaded gun in plain view in tenant's apartment, along with a box of ammunition. Tenant claimed that NYCHA's decision was an abuse of discretion and not based on substantial evidence. The court ruled against tenant. The police reports showed that the gun found was fully operable. There were no grounds for revoking NYCHA's decision to terminate tenant's lease.
