Tenant Didn't Meet Payment Extension Deadlines
LVT Number: #22537
Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court. Eviction was delayed on condition that tenant pay $3,000 in back rent owed. Tenant failed to meet the payment schedule, and landlord sought to execute on the agreed-to eviction warrant. After giving tenant several extensions, the court refused a further extension request. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant failed to comply with payment deadline extensions granted after missing his initial payment deadline. The lower court properly denied tenant's request for further relief.
