Tenant Didn't Give Access to DHCR Inspector
LVT Number: 19386
Tenant complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced her rent. Landlord later applied for a rent restoration. Landlord claimed that tenant would not provide access for repairs. The DRA scheduled a no-access inspection, but tenant didn't answer the door. The DRA then ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant claimed that she was home all day on the scheduled date and that the inspector didn't show up for the no-access inspection. But the inspector's report stated that he was at tenant's apartment on the scheduled inspection date. His report included a photograph of tenant's apartment door. Tenant submitted no proof to support her claim that she was home on the date of the scheduled inspection.
