Tenant Can't Vacate Second Default Judgment
LVT Number: #23858
Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. The court ruled for landlord based on tenant's default, awarding possession and $8,870 in rent arrears. Tenant asked the court to vacate the default judgment. The court ruled against tenant, who appealed and lost. The judgment was the second default final judgment entered in this case, and tenant didn't show an adequate excuse for his failure to appear for trial.
