Tenant Can Be Evicted for Nonpayment
LVT Number: #23710
Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court, but tenant repeatedly failed to comply with the payment terms. The court granted tenant's requests for several extensions after default, but finally denied any further extension. Tenant appealed and lost. Strict enforcement of the settlement agreement was reasonable given tenant's extensive history of defaults.
