Small Cracks on Refrigerator Door

(Decision submitted by Joseph Ratner of Metro NY Holding Co.) Tenant complained of a reduction in services based on cracks in her refrigerator door. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced her rent. Landlord appealed, pointing out that the refrigerator had been replaced before and that the refrigerator worked well. The DHCR ruled for landlord and revoked the rent reduction. Small cracks in the door of the refrigerator was a minor condition not warranting a rent reduction.
