One Inspection Sufficient to Find Extermination Services Restored

LVT Number: #19782

Tenant complained of a reduction in services due to vermin in her apartment. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced her rent. Landlord later sought rent restoration based on restoration of services. The DRA ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed, claiming her apartment was still infested with roaches and that one inspection wasn't enough to determine anything. The DHCR ruled against tenant. Just as a one-time inspection was sufficient to determine whether a rent reduction was warranted, one inspection also was enough to determine that the condition had been corrected.
