MCI Rent Hike Granted for Apartment and Common Area Doors

LVT Number: #24071

The DRA granted landlord's MCI rent hike application based on the installation of new apartment doors, common area doors and related wood trim, a new entrance door, pointing, and courtyard/walkway resurfacing. Tenants appealed, claiming that there were only 20 apartments but that landlord installed 25 doors. They also argued that the entrance door had been replaced previously. The DHCR ruled against tenants. Landlord hadn't received any prior MCI increase for the entrance door.
