Lease Contained Option to Renew

Landlord of two-family house asked a court to issue an order stating that tenants weren't entitled to renew their lease. Tenants pointed out that their lease contained an option to renew for two years as long as they paid rent on time and took care of the apartment. Landlord claimed that his broker wasn't authorized to include a renewal option in the lease and that tenants kept a dog without his permission. The court ruled against landlord. Landlord was bound by the lease agreement made by his broker. And there was no lease clause prohibiting pets.
