Later Effective Date

(Decision submitted by James R. Marino of the Manhattan law firm of Kucker Kraus & Bruh, LLP, attorneys for the landlord.) Tenant complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenant and reduced his rent. Landlord appealed, claiming that the effective date granted for the rent reduction was incorrect. The DHCR ruled for landlord. A court had already given tenant a rent abatement for the same conditions, effective through May 31, 1993. So the effective date of the DHCR's rent reduction was changed to June 1, 1993.
