Landlord Fined $800 by DOB for Performing Electric Work Without a Permit

Code Section 27-3018(b) requires a master electrical business or special electrician to file an application with DOB for a work permit to install electrical work other than low-voltage electrical work. Landlord produced no proof that the wiring predated his building ownership other than his testimony, which the ALJ didn't find credible.
