Landlord Can Evict Tenant for Failure to Install Carpet

Rockland County cooperative corporation sued to evict tenant shareholder for violating his proprietary lease. Landlord claimed that tenant failed to install carpeting in his apartment, as required by the house rules. The trial court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant admitted his noncompliance and showed no reason to reverse the court's decision.
