Inspection Report on Elevators Was Unclear

LVT Number: 12692

Tenants complained of a reduction in services. The DRA ruled for tenants and reduced their rents. Landlord appealed, claiming that the inspector's report on which the DRA's order was based was vague and contradicted DOB records. The DHCR ruled for landlord. The DRA's inspector found that the elevator door on the fourth floor didn't close properly and that it rubbed the frame when closing. The report also stated that if the elevator door was closed very slowly, it stuck. The meaning of this report was unclear.
