Garage Space Waiting List Is Required Service

Rent-stabilized tenant complained of a reduction in building-wide services in connection with building garage space. The DRA ruled against tenant, who appealed and lost. The DHCR did note that the right to be placed on a waiting list for a garage space was also a required service if landlord provided a waiting list to all rent-stabilized tenants in the building. Tenant could file a separate complaint with the DHCR if landlord had violated that requirement.
