DHCR Overcharge Ruling Revoked

Rent-stabilized tenant complained of rent overcharge. The DRA ruled for tenant and imposed triple damages for willful overcharge. Landlord appealed and won. Landlord submitted a stipulation of settlement signed by tenant in a state supreme court action. Tenant agreed to withdraw her overcharge complaint, consented to the granting of landlord's PAR, and accepted $50,000 in full settlement of all claims against landlord.
