Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on the installation of a new boiler/burner and a dual burner (one that uses both heating oil and natural gas) and other related work. The DRA ruled for landlord in part, granting a rent increase for the boiler/burner installation. Landlord appealed, claiming that an additional increase should have been granted for the dual burner and the other related work. The DHCR ruled for landlord. Landlord could get a rent increase for the dual burner and the other related work.
