Wrong Computer-Generated Copy of Violation Notice Mailed to Landlord

DOB issued a violation notice to landlord for not getting an equipment permit for a rooftop air conditioner. Landlord claimed that the computer-generated copy of the violation notice mailed to landlord was different from the one left at the building. So landlord said it didn't get proper notice of the violation and it should be dismissed. The ALJ ruled for landlord. DOB appealed and lost. The computer-generated copy of the violation notice listed a different section of law and described construction work not listed in the other copy of the violation notice.
