Violation Notice Didn't Specify Which Unit Required Permit

LVT Number: 8879

The Fire Department issued a violation notice to landlord for not getting a refrigeration permit for an air-conditioning unit. Landlord asked the ALJ to dismiss the violation because there were numerous air-conditioning units in the building, and the notice didn't specify which unit required the permit. The ALJ found the notice clear enough, and fined landlord $125. Landlord appealed, and the ECB dismissed the violation. The violation notice was defective because it didn't accurately identify the air-conditioning unit.
