Termination Notice Didn't State Reason
LVT Number: 18187
Landlord sued to evict rent-stabilized tenant to recover the apartment for his own use. Tenant claimed that landlord's notice of lease nonrenewal and termination didn't set forth the reasons for termination. Tenant said the notice contained no facts but just stated conclusions and listed the law relied on. The court ruled for tenant and dismissed the case. Landlord's notice didn't state why landlord wished to relocate from his two-floor residence in another building to tenant's apartment.
