Tenant's Subsidy Terminated for Misrepresenting Income

Tenant appealed NYCHA's decision to terminate her project-based Section 8 rent subsidy. She claimed that NYCHA's decision was arbitrary and unreasonable. The court ruled against tenant. There was substantial evidence that tenant violated NYCHA policies requiring truthful and complete reporting of household composition and income on her application and recertification forms. NYCHA followed government regulations in reaching its decision.
