Tenant's Section 8 Status in Question

LVT Number: 6632

Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Tenant claimed that she was a Section 8 tenant. The trial court ruled that landlord hadn't followed proper procedures for evicting a Section 8 tenant and dismissed landlord's petition. Landlord appealed. The appeals court found that tenant hadn't proved that she was subject to Section 8 subsidies. The court sent the case back for a trial where these issues could be raised.
