Tenants Didn't Abandon Apartment
LVT Number: 9046
Tenants sued landlord to correct housing violations in their apartment. Landlord argued that tenants had abandoned the apartment. Tenants claimed they'd moved out after a fire in their apartment had made it unsafe. There was no water, gas, or electricity. The court ruled for tenants. They hadn't abandoned the apartment---it had become uninhabitable after the fire. Landlord must correct the violations.
