Landlord sued former tenant in small claims court for unpaid rent and damages to the apartment. The court ruled for landlord and awarded him $1,450. Tenant appealed and lost. Tenant claimed she didn't owe rent for the month of September 2004. But tenant didn't move out until sometime during that month. So tenant owed rent for that month.
