Tenant Not Covered by Rent Stabilization

Landlord sued to evict tenant, claiming that tenant had no right to remain in the apartment. Tenant claimed that she was subject to rent stabilization. The court ruled for landlord. Tenant appealed and lost. The building contained fewer than six apartments at the time the Rent Stabilization Law went into effect and at all times since then. So neither the building nor tenant was covered by rent stabilization.
