Tenant Must Provide Access for Repairs

Landlord cooperative corporation sued co-op tenant to permit access for roof repairs. The necessary repairs included raising and replacing terrace doors below the roof level. Tenant refused to permit access, fearing asbestos contamination when the walls were opened up. The court ruled against tenant. The proprietary lease required tenant to provide access for building repairs.
