Newburgh tenant sued landlord in small claims court for the refund of his $1,500 security deposit after he moved out of the apartment. Landlord claimed that tenant damaged the apartment and owed $4,265 for repairs. The court ruled for tenant and against landlord. Landlord appealed and lost. The trial court's conclusions were fairly based on the testimony of the parties and should be upheld.
