Tenant Gets Costs Plus Disbursements

Landlord sued to evict tenant. The court ruled for tenant and awarded tenant "$25 costs and disbursements.'' The court gave tenant a total of $25, and tenant appealed. Tenant claimed that the $25 was for costs alone and that she was entitled, in addition, to disbursements. The appeals court agreed and sent the case back to determine the amount to be awarded.
