Subtenant Gets Preliminary Injunction Against Tenant She Claimed Harassed Her
LVT Number: #33078
Subtenant sued rent-controlled tenant, and asked for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction against tenant to stop claimed harassment and theft of subtenant's personal property. The subtenant claimed that tenant also placed glue in the keyhole of the apartment front door. Subtenant also said that tenant gave apartment keys to friends and family members. The court ruled for subtenant, granting the preliminary relief sought. Although subtenant didn't properly deliver her petition papers to tenant, tenant appeared in court and didn't answer subtenant's court papers, and therefore didn't deny the claims.
