Subtenant Didn't Show Landlord Approved Oral Sublease

Landlord sued to evict tenant for illegal subletting. The trial court ruled for landlord and tenant appealed. The appeals court ruled against tenant. Tenant had lived in Oregon for more than three years when landlord started the court action. Tenant claimed that former landlord approved an oral sublease. But tenant showed no proof of this. And subtenant didn't appear in court or submit any sworn statement in support of tenant's claim.
