Settlement Agreement Didn't Provide for Attorney's Fees
LVT Number: 14912
Landlord sued to evict tenant for nonpayment of rent. Landlord and tenant signed a settlement agreement in court that set forth a payment and repairs schedule and said that a judgment in landlord's favor would be vacated when tenant paid in full. Landlord later asked the court for an award of attorney's fees. The court ruled against landlord. Landlord appealed and lost. The settlement agreement settled the whole case and didn't provide for attorney's fees.
