Roommate Can't Challenge Termination Notice

(Decision submitted by William J. Neville of the Manhattan law firm of Mitofsky Shapiro Neville & Hazen, LLP, attorneys for the landlord.) Landlord sued to evict rent-stabilized tenant for nonprimary residence. Tenant's roommate claimed that landlord's termination notice was defective and asked the court to dismiss the case. The court ruled against roommate. Landlord wasn't required to send roommate a copy of the termination notice. Roommate had no right to challenge the termination notice.
