Renewal Lease Stated an Incorrect Rent

LVT Number: 14907

Tenant complained that landlord didn't renew her rent-stabilized lease. Landlord had sent tenant a renewal lease during the window period, but the rent amount was incorrect, and landlord refused to send tenant a corrected lease. The DRA ruled for tenant and ordered landlord to resend a correct renewal lease. Landlord appealed, claiming that it sent the lease and that tenant could have corrected the error on it. The DHCR ruled against landlord. Landlord's renewal lease form stated that tenant could not make any changes to the lease form without landlord's consent.
