LVT Number: #24133

Public housing tenant sued the city and three police officers, claiming that they failed to respond to his complaint about another person against whom tenant had an order of protection because he lived in public housing. Tenant claimed that this deprived him of due process and equal protection under the law in violation of the 14th Amendment. The court granted the request of the city and the police to dismiss the case. After nearly two years of pretrial questioning and document production, tenant presented no proof that he was treated differently from any other citizen.
