Once-a-Day Cleaning Not Enough

LVT Number: 16617

DOS issued a violation notice to landlord for having a dirty sidewalk in front of her building. Landlord claimed that she swept daily. The ALJ ruled against landlord and fined her $50. Landlord appealed and lost. The violation notice stated that there was accumulated debris, such as newspapers, wrappers, and a plastic cup, matted down on the sidewalk in front of the building. So landlord clearly wasn't making sufficient efforts to keep the area clean on a daily basis.
