Occupant Was Tenant of Another Rent-Stabilized Apartment

Landlord sued to evict apartment occupant after rent-stabilized tenant vacated. Occupant claimed pass-on rights. The court ruled for landlord, and occupant appealed. The appeals court ruled against occupant. Landlord submitted proof at the trial that occupant lived in another rent-stabilized apartment during the time she claimed to have lived in the apartment with tenant. The court also properly denied occupant's request for a new trial. She had no attorney but was given every opportunity by the court to present her case.
