No Text Size Requirement for Rent-Stabilized Lease Forms

Rent-stabilized tenant complained of improper lease renewal. She claimed that landlord's lease form didn't conform to DHCR requirements. The DRA ruled against tenant, who appealed and lost. The DHCR found that tenant's PAR was "frivolous." Among other things, tenant complained about the size of the text in her lease. The DHCR noted that the Rent Stabilization Code contains no provision requiring a specific text size.
