No Liability for Dog Bite
LVT Number: 15842
A woman bitten by tenant's dog sued landlord for negligence. Landlord asked the court to dismiss the case without a trial. The court ruled for landlord, and the woman appealed. The appeals court ruled against the woman. Nothing in her complaint showed that landlord knew about the dog or that it had vicious tendencies.
