Minor Mistake in Name on Violation Notice

DEP issued a violation notice to landlord for not complying with the New York City Air Pollution Control Code. Landlord claimed the notice was defective because it didn't state landlord's correct name. The ALJ ruled against landlord and fined it $420. Landlord appealed. ECB ruled against landlord. Naming landlord ''Paragon Realty Co.'' instead of ''Paragon Realty Corp.'' on the violation notice was a minor mistake that didn't invalidate the notice, especially since the building address was correct and the notice otherwise properly advised landlord of the violation.
