MCI Rent Hike Granted for Landmark Facade Windows

LVT Number: #22028

Landlord applied for MCI rent hikes based on window replacement. The DRA ruled for landlord. Tenants appealed and lost. They claimed that some of the windows hadn't outlived their useful life. Tenants said that some windows were replaced by prior landlord in 1986. But no MCI rent hike was granted previously for window replacement. And the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission had ordered current landlord to replace the facade windows installed by prior landlord with historically correct ones.
