LVT Number: 15079
Landlord sued to evict rent-stabilized tenant so that he could occupy the apartment as his primary residence. The court ruled against landlord. Landlord appealed and won. Landlord showed at the trial that he wanted to move out of his father's apartment and into his own apartment near his father. Landlord wanted his own place because he was planning to get married. At the same time, he wanted to live near his father, who needed assistance. So landlord showed a good-faith reason for needing tenant's apartment.
